Starting This Blog
It is said that distinguished engineers keep blogs, so I have resolved to start one of my own.
Purpose
A long time ago, I used to write tech articles on Hatena Blog. But that blog is no longer active, so I decided to set up a brand-new blog where I can write about a wider variety of miscellaneous topics.
Design
I don’t know much about HTML, but after some Googling, I found that building a static website automatically from Markdown using Hugo and hosting it on GitHub Pages seems to be the trendy approach, so I went with it.
Lacking strong personal opinions on web design, I picked Casper Two, which came up frequently in search results. However, it’s clearly designed for English sites, so Japanese text looks a bit awkward out of the box and might need some styling tweaks later. Also, when installing Casper Two, I encountered a bug where the home page didn’t render properly, but I fixed it referring to this thread:
